Youth & Adult League Scorekeeper

Prime Time Basketball Association is looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented candidate to perform routine clerical work, technical work, and keeping score sheets and/or time clock for youth and adult sports.

The scorekeeper's primary responsibility is to accurately record a game's score and to track individual statistics during live basketball games. All scorekeepers are responsible for keeping time by starting and stopping the clock according to the rules of the game as well as maintaining the official team rosters of eligible players and substitutes.

Candidates must be knowledgeable in basketball, have outstanding written and verbal communication skills, must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, have the ability to deliver high quality and detailed work, and must be able to work weekends. Secondary or Tertiary language is a plus.

Youth Basketball Coach

PTBA is looking for highly motivated and knowledgeable basketball coaches to join our coaching staff as a Youth Development League and Skills Clinics Basketball Coach.

Youth Basketball Coaches are required to commit to the an entire season by attending all team practices (held once a week on Saturdays), and all league games (held once a week on Sundays), and any other additional staff and coaches meetings. Coaches must be team-oriented and are expected to promote the core values of PTBA.

All coaches must be knowledgeable in the sport of basketball and have a passion for developing children in a competitive sports environment. Due to the high number of youth participants under the age of 18, all coaches are subject to background checks via Live Scan. Secondary or tertiary languages is a plus.

After School Instructor

PTBA is looking for reliable, energetic, fun, and enthusiastic individuals who are seeking a part time after school teaching position with a passion for working with children.

Instructors must be able to help students complete take home assignments, prepare for quizzes and tests, make corrections on returned assignments to improve learning and must provide and promote a safe and nurturing environment conducive to learning our teaching methodology. Instructors will also be required to plan and implement supplemental curriculum in academic subjects (Language Art, Math, Science, Social Studies) based on our guidelines.

All instructors must have completed at minimum 12 college credits, plus 1 year experience working with large groups of children as a lead teacher, camp counselor, group tutor, etc. Must be able to commit daily, 2pm – 6pm during the school year plus other mandatory participation (i.e., staff meetings, developmental projects & training sessions). Experience in teaching/tutoring in elementary, middle or high school level students, and excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are a plus. Fluency in other foreign languages is a plus.
