LEAGUE INFORMATION

Mission

Our mission is to develop players together within their home city. By providing top-notch training and opportunities to connect with peers, our goal is to build strong communities and help local high schools cultivate athletes with fundamental skills, chemistry, and great character.

Divisions

Players are placed into divisions based on TALENT FIRST and AGE SECOND.

Division 10 tends to be 7-9 years old
Division 9 tends to be 9-11 year old
Division 8 tends to be 11-13 years old
Division 7 tends to be 12-14 years old
Division 6 tends to be 13-16 years old

If you are unsure of which division to sign up for, CLICK HERE to schedule free skill training evaluation. Our coaching staff will recommend the proper division and skill training appropriate for your child's skill level.

Team Placement

Our league is organized by city, with 4 teams per division, and each team can have up to 10 players. To ensure a fair playing field, players may be moved up or down through divisions based on the talent pool in their respective city.

We take great care in placing players in the appropriate division that matches their skills and experience. The most talented players in each city will have the opportunity to compete in Division 6, while players with less experience may be placed in a lower division. This system ensures that players are challenged and can continue to improve their skills as they progress through the league.

Pre-Season

We strongly encourage all players to attend Pre-Season practice as it is essential for our coaching staff to evaluate each player's talent level and make adjustments to teams and divisions before Week 1. Our goal is to create an environment where every player can compete at their highest level and make the league as competitive as possible.

By attending Pre-Season practice, players will have the opportunity to showcase their skills and abilities, which will help us place them in the most appropriate team and division. This will ensure that each player is challenged and can continue to grow and develop their skills throughout the season.

Coaches

At PTBA, our coaching staff works collaboratively to develop the entire league as a whole. During practices, coaches follow the "PTBA Curriculum", which is designed to develop players' fundamental skills and promote teamwork.

Each team is assigned a designated coach for the entire season who will provide individualized attention and support to the players. However, during practices, players rotate through a series of stations where they are taught by our entire coaching staff. This provides players with exposure to different coaching styles and perspectives, which ultimately helps them become more well-rounded athletes.

Playing Time

Each player is guaranteed 12 minutes of playing time.

Games have four 8-minute quarters.

Skill Training

All players receive 1 skill training each week to improve individual talent. Classes are offered Monday through Sunday. During off weeks of the league, skill trainings and team practices will still be available. Additional skills training also available for purchase. CLICK HERE to purchase more sessions.

Report Cards

At the end of each season, all players will receive individualized Report Cards that detail their progress in key areas such as ball handling, shooting, passing, defense, and basketball IQ.
